HomeWiseDocs Resale Disclosure Orders Not Completing: What to Check

Resale disclosure orders usually fail to complete in HomeWiseDocs because something in the order is missing, not matched, not approved, or blocked by payment, permissions, or a system hold. Check the order status, required documents, payment, association/property match, and any “needs action” flags. If everything looks correct, the most common cause is a back-end hold (review queue, integration sync issue, or account-level restriction) that only HomeWiseDocs Support can clear.

Check the order status and what it is waiting on

  • Open the order and find the Status and any Action Required message.
  • If it shows Draft or Incomplete, the order was never fully submitted.
  • If it shows Pending, it is submitted but waiting on something (payment, assignment, documents, review).
  • If it shows On Hold, there is a block (missing info, compliance review, account restriction).

Confirm required fields are complete and consistent

  • Verify property address (unit number, building, ZIP) matches county/USPS format. Small mismatches can prevent association matching.
  • Confirm association name is selected correctly (not a similarly named HOA).
  • Check seller name, buyer name, closing date, and request type are filled in if required by that HOA.
  • Make sure uploaded files are readable and not password-protected.

Payment and authorization checks

  • Look for payment failed, card declined, or ACH pending. An order may not complete until payment settles.
  • If using a company account, confirm the user has billing permission and the account is not past due.
  • If the HOA requires pre-approval or a specific fee type, the order can sit pending until approved.

Document package and delivery settings

  • Confirm the correct disclosure package type was selected (standard, rush, update, questionnaire, etc.). Wrong type can trigger rejection.
  • Check delivery method: email recipient is correct, mailbox not full, and domain not blocking attachments.
  • Verify there is no missing required attachment (some HOAs require a contract page or authorization form).

If all requirements are met but it still won’t complete

  • Assume a system hold: internal review queue, association profile lock, or integration sync issue.
  • Collect: order number, property address, status screenshot, and the exact time it stopped progressing.
  • Contact HomeWiseDocs Support and ask them to check for order-level holds, association assignment, and payment capture status.
  • If closing is urgent, request manual completion or expedite if available for that HOA.

Quick Checks: Resale Disclosure Orders Not Completing (HomeWiseDocs)

Order Status & Required Fields

Confirm the order isn’t stuck in Draft/Pending, and verify all required fields are filled in (property address/unit, association, requester details, delivery method, and any mandatory attachments).

Payment, Fees, and Invoice Holds

Check whether payment was captured and applied, fees are configured correctly, and there are no invoice holds (unpaid balance, failed card/ACH, or missing payer authorization) preventing completion.

User Access, Roles, and Approval Steps

Verify the assigned user has the right permissions, the correct association/workflow is selected, and any internal approval or review steps are completed so the order can move forward.

Notifications, Delivery, and System Errors

Review email/bounce logs and delivery settings, confirm recipient addresses are valid, and check the order activity/audit log for errors or integration issues that require support.
